Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), under the Faculty of Science and Engineering has started its journey in 2015. As the newest department, CSE is flourishing very rapidly. The Department aims to maintain excellence in teaching, research, and service through a dense foundation of both the theory and practical works. The bachelor program in CSE is designed to produce skilled graduates to satisfy the growing demands of graduates in home and abroad. Our curriculums also give students the social, ethical, and liberal education needed to make significant contributions to the society. Faculty members, with their latest knowledge and experience, are running the department very effectively.

Vision:

To achieve academic excellence in Computer Science and Engineering by imparting in depth knowledge to the students, facilitating research activities and gratify to the ever changing industrial demands and societal needs. Through education and research, this department will be recognized universally as a promoter of the centrality of computing in society and graduates of the department will be recognized as innovative leaders.

  1. Providing quality education to enhance problem solving skills by creating futuristic environment that fosters critical thinking, dynamism and innovation to transform each individual into globally competitive professionals.
  2. Making them a lifelong learner by offering a solid theoretical and practical foundation.
  3. Promoting research based projects through industry interaction, global engagement and experimental learning with latest tools and technologies in the emerging areas of technology convergence.
  4. Developing ethical responsibilities to be a real human being with the intention that the students can expand themselves to serve the society as well as the country.

    A. H. M. Saiful Islam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He passed B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in 2003 from Khulna University. His final year thesis was on Bioinformatics.

    Mr. Stanly Pius Rozario was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and had his early education in Dhaka. He completed his SSC from B.A.F Shaheen School & College, Kurmitola (1992) and HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka (1994).

    Marufa Montaha Progga was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in 2011.
