Jamilur Rahman Khan was born in Kishorganj, Bangladesh and had his early education in the capital, Dhaka. After successful completion of the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) and Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) from Ideal School & College and Notre Dame College respectively, he has obtained the Bachelor of Laws (Honors) degree from Stamford University Bangladesh and thereafter, has completed LLM securing the highest CGPA 4.00 on a scale of 4.00 along with an honor and recognition of ‘Summa Cum Laude’ for the academic excellences from ASA University Bangladesh. At present, he is pursuing another post-graduation in Governance Studies under the Department of Political Science at the University of Dhaka.
Khan has started his teaching vocation as Lecturer of Law at ASA University Bangladesh for about 4 Years since the 1st of February, 2012 to the 3rd of October, 2015. During this period, he has also served as an Assistant Proctor and from then on, as Proctor (in-charge) for about one and a half year consecutively under the office of Proctor of ASAUB. Presently, he is teaching at Notre Dame University Bangladesh as Senior Lecturer (Law) since the 4th of October, 2015 to till-date.
Besides this academic approach, he has the following professional enrolment and enlistment; he enrolled in advocacy on the 15th of December, 2010 in Bangladesh Bar Council. Furthermore, on the 11th of April, 2015 he enrolled as advocate in High Court Division at Supreme Court Bangladesh.
He is a member of Dhaka Bar Association from the 16th of January, 2011 to till date (Membership No. 13675). He has a membership in Bangladesh Tax Bar Association (Membership No. J 00156). He enrolled there on 24th of January in 2011. Lastly, he is also a member of Bangladesh Mediators Association [BMA] from the 18th of January, 2011 to till-date.
