Marufa Montaha Progga was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in 2011. She completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in CSE from East West University (EWU) in 2015. 
 
She passed her S.S.C. and H.S.C. examination from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College. She successfully performed her graduate project work on “Course Management Systems” under the supervision of Ms. Shaila Sharmeen, Senior Lecturer, CSE, EWU. Her project area was mainly Course Management.  
 
Under graduate project work of Marufa was on “Online Shopping System” under the supervision of Mr. Mohammad Moinul Hoque, Assistant Professor, CSE, AUST. Her project area was mainly Ecommerce Systems. She worked as a software programmer in a company for 3 years. She is dedicated on software developing. JAVA, PHP, C, Data Structure, Android are her programming interests and she had done many projects based on that. She completed training on Oracle Development 11g from IBCX PRIMAX, on 30 October 2016. Moreover, from BASIS she had done Mobile Application Android Apps and OOP PHP training accordingly on 20 August 2015 and 12 June 2011.
 
Marufa is teaching as a Lecturer in Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB).
