Shamima Nasrin Juthi

Shamima Nasrin Juthi was born in Sayedpur, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017.

She passed her S.S.C. examination from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in 2009 and H.S.C. examination from the same College in 2011. She successfully performed her undergraduate thesis work on “Fluorescence Based Single Molecule Detection Technique Using Surface Plasmon Coupled Emission” under supervision of Dr. Md. Zahurul Islam, Associate Professor, EEE, BUET. Her research area was mainly Plasmonic & Biosensor.

During her school life, she was always listed as the First in merit and was awarded with “Quazi Sirajul Islam Gold Medal” in 2008 as the ‘Best Girl’ of main day branch, Viqarunnisa Noon School. She got Board Scholarship in Junior School Certificate Examination and Secondary School Certificate Examination. She was awarded with University Merit Scholarship and Dean’s Scholarship for academic excellence in BUET for 5 semesters. 

Since May, 2017, she is teaching as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB).
