Rev. Fr. Benjamin Costa, CSC (VC, Acting) offered a greeting speech. He unfolded the vision, mission and the history of Notre Dame University Bangladesh. About the Vision of NDUB, he expressed, “To provide a standard education and moral values is the Vision of Notre Dame University Bangladesh within a certain time by less cost”. Rev. Fr. Adam S. Pereira, CSC (Registrar) introduced all the members of NDUB to the new students.

Mahfuza Khanom (Member of the Board of Trustee), considering the present circumstances, said, “You are very much lucky who has got the chance for the admission in this University. Realize in yourself the power of knowledge that Notre Dame has taken the initiatives to enhance and spread to the world.”

Sadia Afsana Mim, the student of NDUB offered a nice speech. She urged the newly admitted students to be members and to walk along in the life of NDUB. Amongst the new students, Tansir Hossain and Binita Costa shared their feelings and expectations from the University.
Special Guest, Most Rev. Bishop Theotonius Gomes, CSC, said, “All of you can be magnificent in your life. Conceive the better things, whatever you would like to spread. It is the high time to build up yourself. Get the knowledge and serve.”

After that, a gift of commemoration on behalf of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) has presented to Dr. Kamal Hossain. As a Chief Guest he said, “The entire present student body realizes what Notre Dame is about. Guardians have brought you with lots of hope. You have to fulfill that hope.  Notre Dame enlightens the morality and ethics of the students by its education besides the texts. God has given the power to you to separate the right and wrong. So, say no to what is unchaste. Always protest against the mischievous. Good result is not everything at all. You have to be a good person also. It is not your face but your heart will tell you whether you are a good person or not. You have to be devoted yourself in order to get the wisdom so you can lead a good life.” He added, “If the Authority of NDUB gives a chance, I will definitely come to teach the students.”

Rev. Fr. James Cruze, CSC (Chairman, Board of Trustee) said, “Dr. Kamal Hossain is magnificent and familiar figure in our country. We are accepting his proposal to teach the students of NDUB today. You, the students of NDUB, take this as a great chance. We are having limited facilities here but it will be increased within a short time. Notre Dame College, Mymensingh, and Notre University Bangladesh are great achievements for the Holy Cross Congregation.”

Rev. Fr. Adam S. Pereira, CSC (Registrar) gave thanks to all guests and students and advised them to check out on Website and Facebook for all information.
